Fast answers from this lesson, built to help customers understand the product before they shop.
Drew says they are intended for different applications: terpene profiles for heated products and a purpose-built spray for flower.
Drew discusses how aromatic ingredients behave differently in heated use and on plant material at room temperature.
Ask how its spray is formulated differently from its terpene profiles and what application the product was designed for.

[0:00] terpene profiles versus terp sprays. What’s the difference? And is there a difference?
[0:04] Well, as the original inventor of cannabis terpene profiles, I’m here to tell you that there is a massive difference between terpene profiles and terp sprays, if they’re built correctly.
[0:15] terpene profiles are specifically designed only for creating vapes, while terp sprays are specifically designed for spraying on cannabis, changing the aroma and changing the flavor.
[0:26] My name is drew, and I’m here to teach you the secrets of one of the most profitable new sectors of the cannabis industry. terp sprays.
[0:34] My name is Andrew Jones, and about 15 years ago, I invented the first terpene profiles in a lab in my bedroom closet.
[0:42] Through Facebook Live, I taught the world how to create cannabis vape pens, spawning dozens of new terpene companies, hundreds of new businesses, thousands of new jobs,
[0:52] millions of happy users, and an industry worth over $6 billion a year.
[0:57] Now I’m back out of retirement to show you the next evolution of terpene’s BagPop terp spray. So why is the difference between.
[1:06] terpene profiles and terp sprays so important? Well, as I told you before, they’re chemically very different.
[1:12] And the reality is, is if you use the wrong one, you’re just going to ruin your product. know you don’t want to ruin your product. I’m sure your product is expensive.
[1:19] Not only will you ruin your product if you happen to use it and you give it to the wrong person, they’re going to have a terrible experience and you’re going to lose customers. None of that is necessary.
[1:28] A little bit of education is going to go a long way here.
[1:30] So let me break down the real reason so that when you’re dealing with terpene companies, even if they’re not mine, you understand the chemistry behind it and you can make informed decisions.
[1:38] Okay. So check this out. I created the original terpene profiles.
[1:42] As I’ve mentioned many times when I did that, I combined multiple different chemicals to create an aroma.
[1:49] Each one of those chemicals has a different flashpoint, but when you’re using it in a vape cartridge, those flash points were calculated for use at a higher temperature.
[1:58] Whatever the temperature, your vape pen may be to 400 degrees, whatever.
[2:01] That way, when it was heated to that temperature, these flash off in specific ratios, and then it creates the smell that you’re looking for.
[2:10] And we adjusted it specifically for that. Your bag of plant material is sitting at 80 degrees. The flash points are completely different.
[2:18] Some of them aren’t flashing off at all. Maybe just a tiny bit. So when you smell them at room temperature, it’s not going to smell good. BagPop terp sprays are formulated completely differently.
[2:27] We’ve taken those same ratios and adjusted them so that when you smell them, they smell good at room temperature. That’s the first thing. Have you ever smoked a vape pen?
[2:36] And you’re like, this is harsh and it hurts my throat.
[2:39] That’s what happens when a company doesn’t understand how to formulate their vape pens and adds too much terpenes into the vape cart. It’s harsh.
[2:46] It hurts your throat. It’s not an enjoyable experience. Imagine taking that and spraying it on plant material.
[2:52] Now, when you’re using a vape, you’re using the tiniest little bit of a of a drop of terpenes each time you hit it.
[2:58] Whereas on your plant material, you’re spraying it and spraying it and spraying it, trying to get the desired effect. It’s going to smell like chemicals. It’s going to hurt somebody’s throat.
[3:05] It’s not an enjoyable experience, I promise you.
[3:07] For years I only had terpene profiles, and all my customers would always be like, hey, we want to spray this on cannabis. And I’d be like, please don’t do that.
[3:16] It’s not formulated for that. And I don’t want my customers to have a bad experience. But I got so many requests for so long.
[3:23] I was like, look, I will come out of retirement. I will make this product line. People are asking for it and I want to serve the community and that’s what I did.
[3:31] when you are spraying cannabis terpene profiles on plant material. Like I said, too much of it and it becomes harsh. But with the BagPop product line, you can use as much as you want.
[3:41] And that’s a really interesting feature.
[3:43] Believe it or not, a lot of people take really good cannabis and then they spray the BagPop on there because they just want to add a hint of blueberry.
[3:50] They want to add a hint of wedding cake or cherry lime gelato, something like that. And they want to keep the original taste. But what if you want to change the taste?
[3:59] The great thing about the BagPop is you just add more.
[4:02] So if you continue to add more of the terp spray to the cannabis, you’re going to start to taste it when you smoke it. And if you keep adding more.
[4:10] When I blow out a cloud, the people in the room are going to smell the cloud and be like, dude, that cloud smells like blueberries. That is incredible.
[4:17] That is a completely different formulation from the terpene profiles.
[4:21] And if you were to add a bunch of terpene profiles to your cannabis, like I said, it’s just going to hurt your throat. It doesn’t scale correctly.
[4:27] So if you’re interested in trying the BagPop or you’ve already used it or you want instructions on it, I have a ton of different videos that explain
[4:35] exactly how much you want to use, whether you want to spray it, whether you want to add drops.
[4:39] We have calculators for it, tons of information available on these other videos. I really highly urge you to check it out. I also highly recommend.
[4:47] Please don’t use terpene profiles, please use terp sprays. And one other very important note I should have mentioned this earlier.
[4:54] A lot of companies don’t understand the chemistry on how to make a Terp spray.
[4:59] They are selling you repurposed terpene profiles. Here’s what happens. You call up your favorite company and say, hey, I want to spray on my material.
[5:07] Do you have Terp spray? And they’re like, no, sell them the Terp profile. Yeah, yeah, we have it.
[5:13] And then they take their Blueberry terpene profile and they tell you it’s a terp spray and they sell it to you. Then you use it, it’s harsh and you’re like, this sucks.
[5:22] I guess terp sprays don’t work.
[5:24] Companies all over do not understand the chemistry behind making terp sprays and are selling you repurposed terpene profiles.
[5:31] If you don’t go with my company, no problem.
[5:34] But when you’re talking to the manufacturer that you do want to purchase from, talk to make sure that they understand the chemistry. And why is it different from the terpene profiles they have?
[5:43] Make them explain to you, how is this terpene spray that you’re offering me different from a terpene profile? What have you done?
[5:50] And if they can’t explain it, they’re trying to scam you. Okay, take a look. I got some coupons for you. I got some more videos for you, and I hope to see you soon.
