What Is Terp Spray? How It Adds Aroma and Flavor

What is terp spray, and why do flavored cannabis bags smell like their labels? Drew explains how a flower-specific spray adds aroma and, at higher application levels, flavor. He also distinguishes terp spray from terpene profiles made for vapes.

Overview

Drew starts with the colorful, flavor-labeled bags now common in cannabis retail and asks how the flower inside can match the package. His answer is terp spray: a formulation applied to plant material to add aroma and flavor. He compares flavored flower to the range of flavors consumers expect from other products. He also explains that natural cannabis aroma can fade over time and that a flower-specific spray provides another option. BagPop, he says, can be applied at different levels for an aroma change, a flavor change, or a stronger sensory effect. The key distinction in this introduction is formulation: terp spray is made for flower and should not be confused with a terpene profile designed for a vape.

[0:00] So if you’ve been in the cannabis industry at all, you’ve been seeing these bags all over the place. These are branded bags. They’ve got flavors on them, they’re colorful and everybody’s buying them and everybody wants them. And you’re like, how do these people get this smell on this weed? Terp spray. That’s how everybody’s doing it. And it’s wildly popular for a good reason. Have you ever been to the grocery store or 7-Eleven and looked in the drink cabinet?

[0:23] Have you noticed that there’s one flavor of drink and then there’s 60 other flavors of drink? That’s because people just like different flavors. That’s what it’s like to be a human being. And this is our experience. And people want different flavors of cannabis. So My name is Drew, and I’m here to teach you the secrets of one of the most lucrative new sectors of the cannabis industry. Terp sprays. My name is Andrew Jones, and about 15 years ago, I invented the first terpene profiles in a lab in my bedroom closet.

[0:51] Through Facebook Live, I taught the world how to create cannabis vape pens, spawning dozens of new terpene companies, hundreds of new businesses, thousands of new jobs, millions of happy users, and an industry worth over $6 billion a year. Now I’m back out of retirement to show you the next evolution of terpenes: BagPop terp spray. How do terp sprays work? Well, very simply, you’re just adding flavor and aroma to cannabis products. Cannabis inherently has its own flavor and aroma, depending on a lot of things. When it’s grown, it usually has good flavor and aroma.

[1:31] Sometimes it doesn’t. And aroma in general is a liquid and it evaporates off and eventually the liquid is gone and there’s no more aroma. And people like to add that back. So there’s a lot of discussion about this topic. And I touched on this earlier in the video, but one of the main questions I get, I hope I’m not off topic here, but one of the main questions I get is like, why do you want to spray terps?

[1:56] I like the flavor of cannabis. Again, if you take any commodity wheat, water, soda, whatever, and you go to any grocery store, you will have the plain version of that commodity. You will have plain bread, you will have plain soda. But again, look next to it. You’re going to have 70 different flavors of that commodity. And that is how everything works. And cannabis is no different. Most growers work hard to produce a cannabis product they like, but once it hits the consumer level,

[2:28] cannabis growers aren’t realizing that the consumers want multiple options in multiple flavors because that’s their experience with everything else in life. So what we offer is a product that allows you to take something good, and it makes it better, and it gives it different variety, and it’s something that the customers want. I as a producer, I’ve grown for 25 years. I understand what it’s like to make something, but I also understand that at the end, it’s what the customer wants.

[2:53] Unless you’re just growing a field of weed to go smoke for yourself, you want to provide something to your customer and give your customer options. So back to the original topic. How does this work? We create very specific chemical compounds. Some are natural, some are artificial. And what it does is you apply it to your plant material and it changes. For one, the aroma, it changes the flavor. And then if you use enough of it, it changes the smoke as it comes out of your mouth and it fills up the room. Please watch my other videos. These are not terpene profiles.

[3:23] Most terpene companies have copied terpene profiles. I don’t know if you watch the introduction. I originally invented the original terpene profiles and watched as the majority of companies copied my IP and terpene profile technology, and I’m pretty sure they’re doing the same thing with Terp Spray. And if not, they’re going to be doing it soon. But it’s so important that they understand the chemistry or you’re going to get an inferior product.

[3:47] So adding terp spray, the correct terp spray, formulated correctly, will enhance your product. It will give your customers the ability to choose different things that they like. Trust me, there’s a lot of people like strawberry. They go buy strawberry drinks, they buy strawberry desserts, and they’re really going to like strawberry cannabis, and they’ll probably smoke the other stuff too. So how does it work? We formulate it very specifically to spray on cannabis. It changes the flavor.

[4:11] It changes the aroma, it changes the experience, and it matches the packaging that you’re going to find. All throughout the world. There’s a thousand different flavors of packaging, and this is the way that they’re changing the flavor. I want to take a minute and I want to show you some deals. We offer free items with every purchase. We’re going to include some extra stuff. We’ve got calculators on the website and we’ve got some fantastic coupons.

[4:31] And I’d also like to mention any time you call the company 80-KUSHBUD-0, I answer the phone. I value your business, I value your time. And if you’re good enough to spend money with my company, I’m going to be here to talk to you and answer your questions because I value you and your business. So thank you for listening. Go check out some of the other videos and if you ever need anything, just reach out to me. I’m here for you. Talk to you soon.
